The
Set-Up
Imagine
a secretive community of self-actualized "superbeings"
whose citizens live without conflict, disease, or prejudice, and
are among the most highly-functioning on the planet - physically,
mentally and creatively. Imagine a people whose enlightened spiritual
sense flows through every aspect of their daily lives, from their
work, physical training, intellectual pursuits and relationships,
to their meditation practices, sexuality and extreme reverence for
planet and animals.
Now
imagine living among these joyous, evolved beings for 11 weeks as
an active part of their community, free to observe, explore and
document all facets of their rich history and futuristic present.
What might you see? What would you learn? How might you be changed
from this extraordinary opportunity, and what would you want the
world to know about your observations and experiences there?
A
Season in the Warrior Utopia documents American musician/author
Bobby Rock's 77-day adventure with the world's most advanced culture,
on a small island off the east coast of Africa. Written in a travelogue/journal
format, the narrative is gritty, colorful and unflinchingly personal.
And the lessons Bobby imparts from these modern day warriors, monks
and artists are among the most compelling you may ever read.

A
Few Storyline Particulars To Know Before Previewing
•
A Season in the Warrior Utopia takes place in "Zentauria."
(This is the native name of the island, which is used to preserve
the relative anonymity of the country.)
•
Zentauria is self-governed, largely autonomous and, by choice,
"under-the-radar" of the world community. Accordingly,
there are currently no passport or visitation protocols established.
•
Bobby's initial invitation to Zentauria was arranged through
a personal friend. Her name - along with several others who accompanied
them to the island on Week One - have been changed to protect their
privacy.
•
The book is based exclusively off of Bobby's unedited journal
entries and contains adult language and mature situations that are
not intended for younger readers or those sensitive to certain "R-rated"
materials.
•
The Grail is Bobby's tongue-in-cheek nickname for the "magnum
opus," total mind/body fitness book that he's had difficulty
finishing these past few years. One of the sub-plots of this book
deals with Bobby's quest to finish "The Grail."
•
The following excerpts are literally first-draft previews
- direct from the original manuscript - and have yet to be professionally
edited (for grammar, punctuation, etc.) For this reason, we ask
